Can you spare a couple of hours per week to help us
deliver our excellent services?

The Lonsdale Trust Wallasey has a long history of attracting the very best volunteers. We have a loyal team of people who are vital to the work of the Trust. Many people with a variety of special talents help in the following areas of our work

  • Cooking/food preparation at one of our centres.
  • Shopping for food/prizes for one of our day centres
  • Helping with administration
Helping with activities at one of our centres.

This need not be a full-time commitment - even a couple of hours a week would benefit our service users, some of whom rely on a visit to one of our centres as the only outside contact they have.

The benefits to volunteers are many. Not only will you be providing a vital service but many of our volunteers have gone on to gain full time employment. For those who are already retired, it is a chance to keep motivated and enjoy the social aspects of coming out to work again. It’s also good to know that you are doing something that is really worthwhile.

If you want to work in a friendly environment, helping where it really matters, or would like more information contact the Trust Headquarters at the Lonsdale Centre on Seabank Road – telephone 0151 630 4017.

Quote from a volunteer

“I really enjoy driving the Trust’s minibuses. Having taken early retirement, it is great to know that the few hours a week I put into helping the elderly is so much appreciated. All the Trust’s activities are so worthwhile – I would encourage anyone to join as a volunteer. It’s really rewarding.”
